COOKIE POLICY
Loupely LLC
Applies to: useloupely.com and loupely.co
Effective Date: April 1, 2026 | Last Updated: May 29, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Loupely LLC uses cookies and similar technologies on the Loupely website at useloupely.com and loupely.co (collectively, the “Sites”). It does not apply to the Loupely Chrome extension, which does not use cookies on the websites you visit. This Cookie Policy should be read alongside the Loupely Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to give website operators information about how the site is being used. Similar technologies, including local storage and session storage, serve similar purposes and are covered by this policy.
2. Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the Sites to function. They cannot be switched off. They are set in response to actions you take, such as signing in, and they do not store any personally identifiable information beyond what is needed to maintain your session.
sb-[project-ref]-auth-token: Supabase authentication session token. Keeps you signed in to your Loupely account across page loads and browser sessions. Applies to useloupely.com and loupely.co. Persistent until sign-out or expiry set by Supabase auth configuration.
sb-[project-ref]-auth-token-code-verifier: PKCE code verifier used during magic link authentication flow. Deleted after authentication completes. Session cookie.
The exact Supabase cookie names include your Supabase project reference string. The cookie names in use are determined by your Supabase project configuration.
2.2 Analytics cookies
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors use the Sites (pages visited, time on site, general location, referral source). If we do, these cookies collect aggregate information only and are not used to identify individual visitors or to serve advertising. This section will be updated when an analytics tool is implemented.
2.3 Cookies we do not use
Loupely does not use advertising or targeting cookies, cookies that track your browsing activity across third-party websites, cookies that build profiles for use by advertising networks or data brokers, or third-party social media cookies.
3. Cookies and the Chrome Extension
The Loupely Chrome extension does not set cookies on the websites you visit. The extension reads CSS and DOM data from pages you diagnose, but does not write persistent data to those pages and does not install tracking cookies on third-party sites.
4. Your Choices
Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to your Loupely account, because the authentication session depends on the Supabase session cookie.
When Loupely implements a consent management tool on the Sites, it will appear as a banner or panel when you first visit. Strictly necessary cookies will be active by default. You will be able to accept or decline non-essential cookies through that tool.
5. Third-Party Services
The following third-party services set cookies or similar technologies on the Sites:
- Supabase: authentication session cookies as described in Section 2.1. Supabase privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy.
- Stripe: Stripe may set cookies on payment-related pages to support payment processing and fraud prevention. Stripe privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes in applicable law, or the addition of new tools or services. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through a notice on the Sites.
