Nothing dramatic happens. Loupely doesn’t delete accounts or remove credits when a plan lapses or a payment fails. The account stays open and the credit balance carries forward regardless of what happens with a plan.
What changes when a plan lapses #
The unlimited diagnoses that came with the plan stop. From that point, diagnoses consume credits from your balance. If the balance is zero, the diagnosis step requires purchasing credits or a new plan to continue.
What doesn’t change #
The Loupely extension, the WordPress Plugin, and the free capture file download work indefinitely. The capture runs, the file downloads, and you can hand it to a developer. Only the popup diagnosis requires credits or a plan.
If a payment fails #
Stripe retries the charge automatically and sends a notification. If the payment clears on a retry, the plan continues without interruption. If all retries exhaust without a successful payment, the plan lapses at that point.
Credits never expire regardless of plan status. A balance you had during a plan carries forward after the plan ends and can be used whenever you need it.
