The DMCA is a US copyright law that gives copyright holders a formal process to request removal of infringing content from online platforms, and gives the person who posted it a process to contest that removal.

Submitting a notice #

If you believe that content on useloupely.com infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@useloupely.com. Include: a description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed, the specific URL on useloupely.com where the infringing content appears, your contact information (name, address, phone, email), a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized, a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf, and your physical or electronic signature.

What happens next #

When a valid DMCA notice is received, the identified content is reviewed and, if the claim appears valid, removed or disabled. The person who posted the content is notified and has the right to file a counter-notice.

Counter-notices can be submitted to the same address and must meet the requirements under 17 U.S.C. 512(g)(3) to be valid. Repeat infringers will have their access to Loupely terminated.
