What the Loupely Score is #
The Loupely Score is a health number that sits on top of the diagnostic data Loupely collects. It gives you a single number representing how healthy your WordPress site is right now. Color-coded, trend-aware, and ranked by what is hurting your score the most. The Score is free and bundled with every Loupely install.
What the Score measures #
The Score measures the signals that Loupely captures continuously from your site’s diagnostic layer: PHP error frequency and severity, JavaScript error rate, failed hook executions, WooCommerce pipeline health if WooCommerce is present, and server configuration factors that affect reliability. It doesn’t measure performance (page load speed, image optimization) or SEO metrics. Those are different tools for different questions. The Score measures operational health: is the site’s PHP executing correctly, are hooks completing, are transactions processing.
How it’s calculated #
The Score is weighted by severity. A fatal PHP error on a high-traffic page weighs more heavily against the score than a PHP notice on an admin page. A broken WooCommerce checkout pipeline weighs more than an occasional JavaScript warning. The Score doesn’t average everything equally. It surfaces what is actually hurting the site most, and the scoring breakdown shows the individual contributors ranked by impact.
The difference between Score and custom tabs #
The Score measures the things every WordPress site shares: PHP health, Hook Execution, core pipeline integrity. Custom diagnostic tabs measure things specific to your project: a custom post type’s save pipeline, a third-party integration’s API calls, a specific workflow that only your site has. Score tells you the site’s general operational health. Custom tabs tell you whether your particular features are working. Together they give you visibility into both layers. See Loupely Score: Free Health Score, Built In for how to read the Score dashboard in detail.
